Detailed Description of Parameters for Setting Up User Rules in All Hours
Plan
The plan defines how many hours an employee must work per day. This is the basic parameter for tracking the fulfillment of work obligations.
• Example setting: If the daily plan is set to 8 hours and the employee works:
• 9 hours: The system records 1 hour of overtime.
• 7 hours: The system records 1 hour of deficit.
The plan is typically used to determine the weekly or monthly work quota (e.g., 40 hours per week).
Paid Time
Paid time specifies the period during which worked hours are considered paid. Work performed outside this period is marked as unpaid. Both paid and unpaid time are visible in reports and payroll overviews.
Parameters of paid time:
• Shift duration: Specifies the total length of paid time.
• Example: If the shift duration is 10 hours and starts at 9:00, work performed between 9:00 and 19:00 is considered paid.
• Start offset: Determines when the paid time period begins before the official start of the shift.
• Example: If an employee’s shift starts at 8:00 and the offset is set to 1 hour, the paid time begins at 7:00
• Limit: Restricts the maximum recognized amount of paid time.
• Example: If the limit is set to 8 hours, the system recognizes only the first 8 hours as paid, while additional hours are marked as unpaid. The administrator can manually adjust this if necessary.
Shift Start
The shift start defines the time when an employee is expected to begin work. This parameter affects the length of paid time. Incorrectly setting the shift start may result in inaccurate calculations of paid hours.
• Example: If a shift is set from 8:00 to 16:00, work performed outside this time frame will be marked as unpaid or outside working hours.
Required Time
Required time defines the period when the employee must be present at the workplace. This setting is purely informational and does not directly impact the calculation of working hours.
• Impact of required time:
• If an employee is absent during the mandatory time, the system records a required time violation.
• These violations are visible in reports and can be used to monitor compliance with internal policies.
4. Creating a Work Plan (if you didn't create in it step 1. with enabling option “Create work plan with this policy added”)
